Removing a Domain or Moving a Landing Page to Another Domain
Two Self-Serve Ways to Disconnect
- Per landing page: open the landing page's editor, find the Custom Domain card on the Details tab and turn the switch off — there's nothing to save. The landing page goes back to its LinkHaven URL.
- Whole domain: on the Custom domains screen, use Remove domain on the domain's card. This clears it from every landing page using it, tears down the connection and deletes the domain from your account.
What Happens to the Domain
The domain itself always stays yours. For domains you connected, your registration, billing, and settings at your registrar are untouched. For domains bought through LinkHaven, the registration stays active in our registrar account until it expires, and we'll transfer it to any registrar you choose on request.
After a per-landing-page disconnect, a domain you connected from somewhere else also stays in your account as Unassigned, ready to use again. To delete it, use Remove domain on the Custom domains screen — that's the only way to delete it.
Switching Connection Methods
If a domain is actively connected with the DNS-records method and you try to connect it (or the same landing page) with the nameserver method, LinkHaven will ask you to disconnect the existing connection first — this protects your live landing page from being taken down by accident. Disconnect, then reconnect with the method you want.
When You Want to Stop Using a Domain Entirely
Bought through LinkHaven: message support — we'll coordinate whether to let it lapse at expiration or transfer it to a registrar of your choice (the domain is yours either way).
Connected from elsewhere: Remove it from the Custom domains screen. Everything at your registrar stays untouched.
