Removing a Domain or Switching Creators

Two Self-Serve Ways to Disconnect

Per creator: open the creator's edit page, find the Custom Domain section, toggle it off, and save. The creator returns to their default LinkHaven URL.
Whole domain: on the Custom Domains page, use Remove on the domain's card. This clears it from every creator using it and tears down the connection.

What Happens to the Domain

The domain itself always stays yours. For imported domains, your registration, billing, and settings at your registrar are untouched. For domains bought through LinkHaven, the registration remains active in your account.

After a per-creator disconnect, the domain stays available in your dashboard — attach it to a different creator anytime (the Share a Domain option puts another creator on it via a path — see Sharing One Domain Across Multiple Creators), or leave it unattached (that's fine).

Switching Connection Methods

If a domain is actively connected with the DNS-records method and you try to connect it (or the same creator) with the nameserver method, LinkHaven will ask you to disconnect the existing connection first — this protects your live site from being taken down by accident. Disconnect, then reconnect with the method you want.

When You Want to Stop Using a Domain Entirely

Bought through LinkHaven: message support — we'll coordinate whether to let it lapse at expiration or transfer it to a registrar of your choice (the domain is yours either way).

Imported: Remove it from the Custom Domains page. Everything at your registrar stays untouched.
