LinkHaven glossary: the words we use
One creator uses one seat and can have up to 8 landing pages. Each landing page shows on its own domain, or on a path of a domain, and starts with a LinkHaven URL. The buttons on a landing page are its destination links.
- Creator: one person or persona your visitors know by one name. A creator uses one seat and can have up to 8 landing pages. Paused landing pages count toward the 8.
- Seat: what your plan pays for: one seat per creator.
- Plan: Creator Pro (1 seat) or Agency Pro (a number of seats you choose). Every plan starts as a free trial with a card. There is no free plan.
- Landing page: what your visitors see: photo, bio and destination links. Each landing page has its own stats.
- Domain: a website name you own, like yourname.com. You can buy one through LinkHaven or connect one you already own. Domains are always paid for separately from your plan.
- Buy, Connect, Assign: Buy a domain through LinkHaven. Connect a domain you own somewhere else. Assign a domain you already have in LinkHaven to a landing page. A domain that isn't on any landing page is Unassigned.
- LinkHaven URL: the starter URL every landing page gets on linkhaven.ai, like linkhaven.ai/yourname-2. It works until the landing page is on a domain; after that it shows "not found", so share the domain instead. 18+ destination links never show there.
- Path: the part after a domain, like yourname.com/ads. Domain paths (Agency Pro) put several landing pages on one domain, each on its own path. Not recommended for ads: for ads, give each landing page its own domain.
- Live at: where a landing page can be visited right now: its domain and path, or its LinkHaven URL if it has no domain yet.
- Destination link: a button on a landing page and where it sends visitors.
- Tracking link: a destination link from a platform or ad network that counts clicks.
- 18+ destination link: a destination link that shows only on the landing page's own domain. Visitors pass the 18+ check before they're sent on.
- Social icons: the small platform icons above the destination links.
- Photo and Background: the picture at the top of a landing page, and the image behind it.
- Display name: the name visitors see on a landing page.
- Internal label: a private name for a landing page that only your team sees, like "Alex · Meta ad set A". A duplicate's label starts as "Alex · page 3", and you can change it.
- Duplicate: makes another landing page for the same creator, using no extra seat. The new landing page is "the duplicate". It doesn't copy the domain, stats or A/B tests.
- Paused landing page: switched off. It still counts toward the creator's 8.
- Visits, Unique visits, Clicks, Conversions: a visit is each time a landing page is viewed. Unique visits count different visitors, each once per landing page for the period you're looking at. A click is a click on any destination link. A conversion is a click on a destination link that has "Track conversions" on. The conversion rate is conversions divided by unique visits.
- Team, Owner, Manager: the owner runs the account. Managers can be given access to selected creators, which includes all of those creators' landing pages.
- Screen: a part of your LinkHaven dashboard, like the Custom Domains screen.
- In the LinkHaven API: a "creator" means one landing page (an older name kept so existing integrations keep working). Creating one through the API starts a new creator and uses a seat. Duplicating one keeps it under the same creator and uses no seat.
