How to Buy a Custom Domain
A Domain You Own, Fully Managed
A custom domain like yourname.com replaces the default LinkHaven URL with your own branded address. You can buy one from your dashboard in about a minute — we handle the registration and the technical setup behind the scenes.
How to Buy a Domain
- Search — Open your dashboard, type the name you want, and pick from the available extensions (.com, .net, .io, and many more).
- Pick options — Choose your registration period and whether to enable auto-renew. WHOIS privacy is included automatically.
- Pay — Complete checkout via Stripe. We accept card and a few digital wallets.
- Done — We register the domain, set up DNS, and enable HTTPS. Your domain becomes active within a few minutes.
About Auto-Renew
Auto-renew is on by default. We'll renew the domain a few days before it expires so you don't lose it. You can turn it off at any time from your domain card.
If auto-renew is off and you let the domain expire, ownership returns to the registrar — be sure to renew manually before the expiration date if you turn this off.
About Pricing
Many domains have an introductory first-year price that's lower than the renewal price. If they differ, the dashboard shows both before you check out — no surprises.
One Creator, One Domain
Each creator can have one custom domain at a time. If a creator is already on a domain and you buy a new one, you'll be asked to disconnect them first.
What's Included
- WHOIS privacy — your personal contact information stays hidden from public lookups
- Auto-renew (toggle-able)
- HTTPS — secure connection by default
- Full DNS management — all the technical setup handled for you
If You Cancel LinkHaven
Domains you buy through LinkHaven are registered in our registrar account — that's what lets us handle all the technical setup automatically for you. If you cancel your subscription and want to take your domain elsewhere, send us a support message and we'll manually transfer it to whichever registrar you choose. There's no automatic export, but the domain is yours and we're glad to coordinate the move whenever you're ready.
Already Own a Domain?
If you bought a domain elsewhere and want to use it on LinkHaven, see Importing a Domain You Already Own. Imported domains stay with your registrar — you keep direct control of the registration.
